Hand Tinting Photographs/Photo 101B
An introduction to the art and technique of the hand colored image.
Students will learn the basics of applying photo oils to their black
& white prints in the traditional manner. We will also cover a variety
of additional painting materials including pencils, acrylics, oil pastels,
watercolors, metallic paint pens, and chemical toning (sepia, blue &
copper). Students will need to provide their own B&W prints - preferably
matte surface. Some materials will be provided by the instructor.

Design Fundamentals/Design 101
Team teaching with Katie Perry
A visual design course covering theories, processes, vocabulary, techniques
and skill common to design disciplines. Practical application of knowledge
through individual and group exercises and projects.

Fall 2007 Classes
Beginning Photography/Photo 51
An introductory class on the basics of both traditional and digital
photography including camera handling, exposure, night photography,
traditional darkroom and digital image processing, and exploration of
conceptual and formal design and composition. This full semester class
is a prerequisite for many other classes in the CCSF Photography program.
Classes start August 16th and run for approx. 19 weeks.
